Open Major Safe with no combo
Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 17:36
I have purchased a major safe that is open, I dont know what the combination is. Can I reset the combination myself or do I need a locksmith? can anyone tell me what the manufacture combo is? maybe it is still the same. The serial # is 97826 and the model # is HH5E.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Purchased in-floor safe from a gal who closed her TCBY shop as her husband was relocated by a large tech firm. She had some difficulty opening it herself, but then she was able to open and gave me the combo (which, of course, doesn't work). I've tried using the "left" marker instead of the "center marker; alternating the "markers", two times this way, three times that way, all to no avail. What to do? Serial #R109935. Thanks in advance!

I'm the new owner of a used Sentry Safe, model T08-331. The safe is locked and the battery is dead. What is the best route to take to get it open? I wasn't given the combo. This came from a used salvaged store.

Tom its easy to figure out the combo when the doors not locked just take the cover off the back of the door then take off the back of the lock then turn the dial till u line up all the tumblers. Everyone that has the door locked the best thing to do is call your local safe tech or click on this web link for contact info.

Does anyone ever receive an answer to these "lost the combination" safe problems here? I have a similar problem...Thanks for the help. We are staying at a hotel and we were experimenting with the safe- locked it by mistake and cannot reopen. (we have the book now..the default code doesn't seem to work...) What do we need to do to open this model 5073 Brinks Safe?
Thanks for any help.

Anyone in Daytona that knows how to get into a old Major safe that we lost the combo for?
Its a honest request, we have the safe at home, and I know its empty, its just we can remember where the combo is. I think we put the combo in the safe for safe keeping and forgot it. Really. I know, dumb, but just fessing up.
Did you get it open?

I was wondering if the first guy in this tread got his safe open?
That was a good message with the 4 turns to open trick. Makes me worried about my bank's big vault!
