talk - Home Office Designated Area? |
|
Solitude from Georgia/Florida -
I am in the middle of purchasing a new house after staying in an apartment. I want my new home to have a office or an area that I can turn into an office. Presently, I been working out of my bedroom so it would be a big change to have an area designated for an office. Do you guys have an actual office in your home?

One bedroom in my apartment is the office.

When I built my home I opted to have a "study" downstairs which I dedicated to being a home office. It is just easier to have everything in that one location and I can get some "quiet time" when things get hectic.

I use an extra room in my apartment as an office. It is big enough to store everything I need. You could always use a study or just an extra room as an office in your home.

Yes, if you want to claim that as part your business expenses it's important to have a designated area. I used my bedroom as my office.

I have an extra bedroom that I used as my office. When I was staying in a smaller place the kitchen table was my office.

I did renovations to my house and added a room for an office. I have my office off to the side of the house so I don't experience as many interruptions.
