This really bugs me...

I hate it when people out of the blue come up to my desk to use my phone. When they leave, I get out my sanitizer and wipe my phone down. I don't care if they see me do it..I'm just protecting myself. With flu season upon us I don't want to take any chances!!

A bit off topic. That reminds me how much I hate it when people don't warn me when they're sick before coming over to my house or inviting me to theirs! It happens all the time! I recently just got over a really bad flu [first one in eyars!]. Guess where I got the flu from? A friend's baby! She asked me if I wanted to hold the baby and I was like sure... While holding the baby i noticed that his breathing was pretty raspy and asked about that and the mom was like "Oh yeah, he's sick." Gee, thanks for warning me! Sheesh.

Nothing is worse than someone coming into work and spreading their germs. When they get sick they should stay home for at least the first two days. But the worst is when you have a boss that refuses to take time off work because they are sick and then give you their germs everytime they hand you something. Then they bitch because you are taking time off when you get sick with whatever they had. If they want to be macho and come in to work sick then they have to expect they are going to make others sick too.

Good point guys! I always keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse. You have some people who don't want to miss work. If you are sick you should stay home instead of spreading germs.

Sounds like this guy that I used to work with who was very particular about who even came near his desk. If you asked him to borrow a pen or anything for that matter, he would more than likely just tell you to keep it. He was a total germaphobic(sp?). You just never know what kind of germs people are spreading on your desk. Ewwww!!

Just think how long the human race existed with out chemical germ killers or even soap! Just think how well animals do as well.Your immune system is better than all that artifical crap.

So do you think it's better to get sick than to protect yourself from all the germs? I take that Airborne stuff and I swear by it. I never get sick - too many of my co-workers get the bug and I'm practically the only one in the office who isn't.

I don't think you generally get sick from using someone else's telephone or desk tools.

It bugs me when people come to work coughing and sneezing over everything. It isn't like we don't have sick leave. I just started using Airborne and I can tell the difference. So far I have managed to avoid most of it.

I use Airborne as well and think that has made all the difference in the world. Last year I didn't use it at all because quite frankly I didn't believe in the product. My sister told me about it and I finally tried it last November, when practically everyone in my office was coming down with some kind of bug. Since taking it I have not gotten sick.

I am going to have to try that product. I keep hearing good things about it. Luckily no one has gotten too sick in my office but I will keep in mind for next year.
