So you've found a place to blog and a topic. You think you've even written a pretty good blog. Now what? How do you make sure people are reading it? And if you are getting paid by hits, having readers is essential.

A good way to gain readers is to advertise it everywhere you possibly can. Such as joining forums and posting comments [make sure it's not spamming] and then leave a link to your blog on the bottom of your comment as a signature. That way if people like your comments and are curious about you, they can check out your blog.

Make sure it is ok with the forum moderator before you post your blog link. Sometimes that is a no no on certain sites. I agree that forums can be the best advertisement because it is free.

Links are encouraged here if they relate to the message at hand... and of course the message at hand needs to relate to the forum.

Thank you. I was going to point out to melena that most signature links are considered spam unless expressly allowed by the site, but Debra did that for me. Thank you Office1000 Blog.

I think most signature links are spam when someone goes to a forum and posts a bunch of unrelated, short stupid messages. Here the messages all seem well thought out and related to the site, so I would welcome links with them too.
