Too Expensive Questions, problems, answers for the problems of insurance and small business

If you don't work for a large company and run your own small business insurance is out of this world as far as price goes. I have worked for large and small companies. The best part of working for a large company is the insurance is usually great. Many small companies can't even afford to offer insurance. And, especially not dental. It isn't fair.

I agree. If you work for a big company, then you're lucky because your benefits are probably good. Working for a smaller company (which I have) you definitely can tell the difference as far as benefits are concerned. Luckily for me I got married soon after I started working for this smaller company and switched over to my husband's insurance!!

I am glad I pay about US$50/month for health coverage. The situation in the United States is beyond out of control. It needs to be resolved so that small business and the people can flourish.

Totally agreed. Most small companies don't even offer insurance and if they do the employees can't afford it so they have to stop offering it. I just wish we could be like Canada and get insurance the day we are born. The government should find a way to get everyone insurance. I would be ok with paying more taxes if that was a benefit of doing so.

Health Insurance is one of the biggest expenses. I currently pay close to $300/month for family coverage from one of the more dependable health insurance companies. It does include dental, health, and vision. I hate spending that much but there isn't too many other options. It would be even worse if we didn't have any.
